Adnkronos interviews Ivo Allegro"To grow GDP, we need a new culture of public-private partnerships."
Iniziativa has been among the leading financial advisors in Italy on the theme of Public Private Partnership (PPP) with over 150 operations supported for both private clients and a growing clientele of many prestigious public administrations. PPP is an approach to the construction and, above all, management of public infrastructure that can be a real gamechanger for the increasingly asphyxiated national productivity.
In fact, as our CEO stated Ivo Allegro in the interview on the topic Adnkronos
This tool has already proven to be much faster throughout the entire implementation cycle (conceptualization, design, awarding, and implementation) of a public investment, thus allowing for earlier benefits from the infrastructure. However, it could prove crucial for boosting the country's competitiveness by tying payments to results achieved and freeing up public resources in the short term for those riskier investments that could prove crucial for competitiveness.
For this reason, after a PNRR of 230 billion which is having little impact on GDP but will have a significant impact on the prospective management costs of the PA, and therefore on current expenditure and deficit, a new culture of partnership between the public and private sectors is needed.
