Erasmus+ 2026: €5,2 billion coming for mobility and cross-border cooperation projects

The European Commission has launched new calls for proposals under the Erasmus+ program. With a budget of approximately €5,2 billion, Erasmus+ will continue to fund cross-border mobility and international cooperation projects in 2026, with the aim of helping people develop the skills needed for the future: from basic and digital skills to green, civic, and transversal skills.

Erasmus+ supports:

  • Learning mobility (for study, training, volunteering);
  • Cooperation projects;
  • Politics and Innovation;
  • Jean Monnet activities that offer greater opportunities for teaching, learning and debate.

In 2026, the Erasmus+ program will expand its support for partnerships and mobility activities in the school sector. This initiative will offer organizations greater opportunities to experiment with and implement innovative teaching methods aimed at strengthening the acquisition of basic skills, while also contributing to the EU's objectives of civic engagement, democratic participation, and the promotion of shared values.

The Erasmus+ 2026 call will offer learning mobility experiences to approximately 1.275.000 participants, supporting over 100.000 organisations involved in the projects, including higher education institutions, schools, vocational training centres, companies, youth and sports organisations.
