Horizon Europe Mobility: €160 million for sustainable, competitive, and intelligent transport projects

In the most recent calls for proposals from Horizon Europe Cluster 5, the European Commission has allocated approximately €160 million to fund cooperative research and innovation projects addressing sectoral mobility priorities and challenges.

Specifically, the calls for proposals dedicated to Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) focus on issues such as improving mobility for people and goods in all weather conditions, seamless integration of CCAM solutions into existing transport ecosystems, resilient, climate-neutral and sustainable mobility solutions with low carbon emissions, and increased competitiveness of the transport system thanks to safe and hyper-advanced technologies.

Furthermore, the 2026 calls will contribute to the EU's climate change objectives by building multimodal and sustainable transport systems for passengers and freight, ensuring greater safety and resilience of transport networks, and facilitating zero-emission transport, including road, air, and waterborne transport.

Within Cluster 5 of Horizon Europe, proposals can now be submitted for:
