INIZIATIVA and the Institute of Cultural Heritage of CNR, respectively the responsible partner for cascade-funding and the coordinator of the European TRACE project, have launched an Open Call for SMEs Support. Indeed, 100 SMEs will be selected in 5 European countries: Italy, Belgium, Spain, Romania, Cyprus. The selected SMEs will receive a Grant of € 7,200 to develop sustainability programmes and to apply for sustainability/environmental certification.
The TRACE programme consists of targeted activities to support, advise and accompany SMEs in the tourism sector in improving, monitoring and developing sustainable strategies, thus increasing their awareness and ability to integrate sustainable innovations into their business development.
The grant will be used for consultancy activities related to the development of sustainable business and strategies, travels and access to sustainability/ environmental certification.
The enterprises will be engaged in a coaching process and will be included in an international network of virtuous enterprises in the field of sustainable circular and cultural tourism in order to enhance lesser-known areas and establish local cooperation networks.
The TRACE Support Programme for tourism SMEs is organized in four interconnected phases:
- Phase 1: Capacity Building Support (Oct 2023 – Sept 2024)
- Phase 2: Assess & Recommend (June 2023 – Aug 2023)
- Phase 3: Circular Business Direct Support (Sept 2024 – Apr 2025)
- Phase 4: Financial Support for selected tourism SMEs (March 2024 – Dec 2024)
The call is open from March 30th, 2023, to June 30th, 2023, 17:00 CET.
